Memphis Ambassadors Program (MAP) Overview

MAP is a year-round development program that serves up to 400 youth across the city of Memphis in each of the council districts. The program engages youth in grades 9012 annually. MAP is designed to assist youth in their decision-making process about post-secondary life and the development of social and academic skills.

The program integrates curriculum based on education, wellness, civic/social engagement, and economic empowerment. Ambassadors participate in community service projects throughout the year through partnerships with area non-profits and other organizations. During the summer, ambassadors participate in a two-week grade level Leadership Institute. All graduating ambassadors have the opportunity to participate in an internship with city government.

The application process opens December 1, 2017.
